beirut 147

Beirut stratum is a set of three tables that trace the topography of Beirut through cast brass, using a one-time self-dissolving mold technique. Conceptually, the work embodies the city's enduring brilliance and resilience.
The creation process unfolds under the close guidance of the artist, fostering a deep collaboration with the artisan.
An ongoing exploration of textures and finishes gives each table its own distinct identity. No two are alike—each set is a unique composition, with individual variations in surface texture and natural oxidation.

Together, the tables echo the layered character of Beirut, capturing its complexity while forming a cohesive and harmonious ensemble.
